Are you a US Licensed pilot living abroad? If "yes", then time is running out to meet new FAA requirements. Ensure you're in compliance to avoid losing your FAA certificate! Individuals with a foreign address and no U.S. physical address of record on file with the FAA who fail to timely designate a U.S. agent for service to comply with FAA’s new rule may not exercise the privileges of their FAA certificate, rating, or authorization. If an aircraft owner fails to comply, the aircraft’s registration certificate will be considered ineffective. Get Compliant/Sign Up Today!

Rob's Certificate

Means he gets to take his best friend to his favorite places.

Did you know that dogs tend to look like their owners? Ha-ha, yes, it's true. Here I am, Rob, and my mini-me, Frisco. He is a rescue and working as a therapy dog for retirement communities. He really loves his job and we are best friends. Sure enough, I found that the dog and I tended to show similar personality profiles, except he is only four years old and I am in my mid-thirties.

I work in accounting Monday through Friday, but on the weekends I dedicate my free time to helping others. That is why it is so important for me and Frisco to have an opportunity to fly all over the Unites States and visit retirement homes.

I have been flying for many years, but Frisco started flying almost from birth. Lucky guy! From then until now, he always reminds me it’s time to fly with, “Woof! Woof!” It is really important for us.

Anyway, when we aren’t visiting retirement homes, we enjoy traveling to air shows around the country, especially to AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I like to meet up with life-long friends who are also pilots at these shows.

I am so thankful that time and distance has not kept us from getting where we need to be. My advice to you: fly solo or get a dog and fly with him!  That’s why I entrust AOPA Pilot Protection to help protect my certificates to keep doing what I hold so dear.
