Are you a US Licensed pilot living abroad? If "yes", then time is running out to meet new FAA requirements. Ensure you're in compliance to avoid losing your FAA certificate! Individuals with a foreign address and no U.S. physical address of record on file with the FAA who fail to timely designate a U.S. agent for service to comply with FAA’s new rule may not exercise the privileges of their FAA certificate, rating, or authorization. If an aircraft owner fails to comply, the aircraft’s registration certificate will be considered ineffective. Get Compliant/Sign Up Today!

Happy Mother's Day: Shaun Pays Tribute

My aviation journey began 28 years ago when I enlisted in the Navy. I was young and aspired to one day earn the privilege to be a Naval Aviator. Before being able to earn that privilege, however, I had to first earn the privilege of being an officer. This seemed like an impossible goal at the time! The selection process was very competitive and had it not been for the support of my Mother and her belief that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to, I would never have had the confidence to even start what has since turned out to be the journey of a lifetime! Her steadfast belief in me and her constant reassurance and support have been the cornerstone to my achievements.

As it turns out, I was accepted to a commissioning program and subsequently selected for Navy pilot training. After successful completion of that training, I earned my Navy pilot wings in 1996 and have enjoyed an amazing journey in naval aviation. I've flown all over the world and my mother's spirit has always been with me, no matter where or how far I've gone.

I have recently purchased my first private airplane and I am beginning a new journey in GA aviation! I haven't felt this excited about aviation in years! This would not have been possible had it not been for my mother's support and her belief in me over 28 years ago!

Thanks Mom!

Shaun
