FAA Changes Related to Airman Knowledge Testing

The FAA recently sent out a News Alert on some upcoming changes to Airman Testing and the Airman Certificate Testing Services (ACTS) that will go into effect on (or after) January 13, 2020 as follows: 
  • All airmen will be required to establish an FAA Tracking Number (FTN) within the Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) before taking any FAA airman knowledge test;
  • Airman Certification Standards (ACS) codes will be added to airman knowledge test reports (AKTRs) pertaining to the questions answered incorrectly;
  • The FAA will no longer require an embossed, raised seal on airman test reports.
